Some matches happening in the IRC channels are very well written. This means,
the fighters actually went for it, though it's only virtual. Furthermore
these fighters describe their moves very vividly, which is afterwards fun
to read. That's the reason, why we opened up this section. <s>
Additionally, since we introduced the rankings, we try to post every fight which has happened in any one
of the channels related/affiliated to Pain & Passion.
Of course we know, that these logs are real fights with real people. Therefor, if only one fighter
doesn't want the log posted, we won't post it.
Generally before posting, the log will be worked over for better readabilty.
Joins and leaves are usually removed. The mIRC typical codes for names and actions are changed to colors.
A "warm" color (red, yellow, etc.) stands for a female fighter, and a "cold" color (blue, green, etc.) for a male one.
Typos are usually corrected (if found ...).
Colored popups will appear uncolored. "ASCII-graphics" will be removed, due to the font used on the site. Those graphics are made for font faces like Courier, which aren't used on the site. So the "artwork" would get corrupted anyways.
Further changes are mentioned in the very log as a comment.
Things to know, if you're not familier with chats and/or chat logs:
Things written in "<>" like "<s>" or "<hugging you>" mean something a
person is doing, sometimes in abbreviations. A.e. "<s>" stands for "<smiles>".
These are commonly used in IRC chats and elsewhere. For a list of often
used abbreviations and smileys look here.
Things in "()" like "( good move <s> )" mean actually spoken or thought words,
but off action, like comments or recapping positions. This is not a general
habit, but used by some within a match.
